THE TRANSPLANTATION SOCIETY
The principal requirement for membership is an active interest in basic science, clinical research and/or improving clinical practice in the field of transplantation. All members must display prior and sustained interest in the field.

Full members shall be physicians, surgeons, scientists or other specialists, who are actively engaged in the science or clinical practice of organ, cell and tissue transplantation. Physicians and surgeons shall have advanced training or equivalent experience in the science and practice of organ and tissue transplantation. Non-physicians shall hold a doctoral degree or equivalent, be eligible for formal certification in their respective fields as determined by the Council, and committed postdoctoral activity in transplantation.
Trainee members shall include individuals enrolled in pre- or postdoctoral training programs relevant to the science and clinical practice of organ, cell and tissue transplantation, and individuals who have completed their training but have not yet qualified for full membership.
Associate members shall include individuals who have demonstrated a sustained and continued interest in the field of transplantation but who do not qualify for full or trainee membership. Associate members must hold a Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant certification and must have a minimum of two years of professional experience in the field of transplantation with continuing and active involvement in clinical medicine or research.
All applicants must accept the policies of the Ethics Committee by signing the Society Ethics Statement.
CELL TRANSPLANT SOCIETY
The Cell Transplant Society promotes research and collaboration in cellular transplantation. Members’ research interests include pancreatic islets, bone marrow, endothelial, epidermal, myoblast, neural and stem cells.
Investigators of cell and tissue transplantation share problems and research targets on topics such as separation techniques, culture methods, cryopreservation and banking, pretransplant immuno-modulation, micro- and macro-encapsulation, bioartificiality, tolerance, xenografts, quality control, implantation sites and techniques, experimental and clinical transplantation, and gene therapy.
Full membership includes reduced registration fee at international congress and a subscription to Cell Transplantation Journal.
INTERNATIONAL PANCREAS AND ISLET TRANSPLANT ASSOCIATION (IPITA)
The International Pancreas and Islet Transplant Association is a scientific forum for the exchange and discussion of clinical and experimental results and experiences relevant to the transplantation of insulin producing tissue in the treatment and cure of diabetes mellitus.
Full membership includes reduced registration fee at international congresses.
INTERNATIONAL SOCIETY FOR ORGAN DONATION AND PROCUREMENT (ISODP)
The mission of the ISODP can be accomplished by focusing on:
- Societal attitudes and legislative requirements
- Perfecting the process of donation and procurement
- Ways of expanding the donor pool
- measures to minimize donor organ injury
- The development and facilitation of educational programs
- Ethical matters related to organ and tissue donation and procurement.

INTESTINAL TRANSPLANT ASSOCIATION (ITA)
The objectives of the association are to promote intestinal transplantation by disseminating information and ideas on the subject internationally, and to facilitate the exchange of knowledge through biennial meetings.
Full membership shall be investigators in the broad field of intestinal transplantation who have contributed by their work to the advancement of knowledge in the field. Members shall be eligible to vote at the Business Meetings of the Association and to be an Officer or Councillor of The Association. includes reduced registration fee at international congresses.
INTERNATIONAL XENOTRANSPLANTATION ASSOCIATION (IXA)
The principal aim of this section is to provide a forum for those with a special interest in xenotransplantation. All membership categories require sponsorship by a full member of the IXA in good standing.
Full membership shall be investigators in the broad field of xenotransplantation who have contributed by their work to the advancement of knowledge in the field. Full Members shall be eligible to vote at the Business Meetings of the Association and to be an Officer or Councillor of the Association.
Membership includes reduced registration fee at international congresses, online subscription to Xenotransplantation Journal, and a subscription to the print edition for an additional minimal charge.
Associate membership shall be persons with an interest in xenotransplantation. Members shall have no voting rights and shall be ineligible to be an Officer or Councillor of the Association.

Junior membership shall be persons with an interest in xenotransplantation who are in training, and requires a signature from the candidate’s supervisor. Members shall have no voting rights and shall be ineligible to be an Officer or Councillor of the Association.

TRANSPLANT INFECTIOUS DISEASE SOCIETY
The mission of this section is to promote research and education in the prevention, diagnosis, clinical consequences, and management of infectious disease problems of the transplant recipient.
Full membership includes reduced registration fee at international congresses, as well as print and online subscriptions to the journal Transplant Infectious Disease.
Associate membership includes reduced registration fee at international congresses, as well as a print subscription to the journal Transplant Infectious Disease for an additional minimal charge.
