Update - Transplant Infectious Disease Section

CamilleThe Transplant Infectious Disease Section of The Transplantation Society has had an exciting spring, with release of their “International Consensus Guidelines On The Management Of Cytomegalovirus In Solid Organ Transplantation” in the April 2010 issue of Transplantation, and an exciting webinar on April 27, 2010 by Dr. Atul Humar, Director of Transplant Infectious Disease at the University of Alberta, “CMV In Solid Organ Transplantation: New Developments” (now available for viewing at www.tts.org, as well as previous Transplant ID Section webinars by Dr. Michael Ison on Donor Derived Infection and Dr. Camille Kotton on H1N1 Influenza). The Transplantation Society also supported member participation in a recent Donor Derived Consensus Conference on Tuberculosis Diagnosis and Management, held May 1, 2010 in

San Diego in conjunction with the Infectious Disease Community of Practice of the American Society of Transplantation.

The TID section will have a 4th International Transplant Infectious Disease meeting on August 15, 2010 in Vancouver, just before the start of the meeting of The Transplantation Society. The meeting features world-renowned experts and and will provide an exciting start leading into the TTS International Congress.
