Organ trafficking and transplant tourism is an illegal form of human exploitation that imperils both the organ donor and recipient. The IPTA is a signatory to the Declaration of Istanbul, and will seek to continually embed its principles within the Association's work and advocacy.

The Ethics Committee values highly the diversity of opinion and perspectives that should be expected from an international community of professionals.
