IPTA 3rd Congress Recap
IPTA is pleased to announce the overwhelming success of the 3rd Congress, held recently in breathtaking Innsbruck, Austria. The excellent scientific program, which included 141 oral presentations and 183 posters, drew more than 440 conference attendees from 42 different countries.
The outstanding program presented at the Congress was the direct result of the efforts of the program planning committee. These hardworking individuals did a great job in soliciting excellent abstracts and coordinating exciting sessions focused on the most recent advances in pediatric transplantation.
New to the meeting was a Pre-Congress Post Graduate Course which focused on the fundamentals of pediatric transplantation. Organized by Drs. Simon Horslen and Dick Trompeter, the course drew more one third of Congress attendees. We plan to continue this session at future meetings based on the positive feedback received.
Sponsorship for the conference continues to increase, and we would like to thank all of our Congress sponsors and exhibitors. Their support was critical to the success of the meeting.
We would also like to thank everyone who completed the online Congress survey. Your input is valuable to the continued success of the meeting and we try to incorporate feedback received into the planning of future meetings. If you did not complete the online survey or have additional comments about future meetings, please forward them to the IPTA office at '); //-->\n ;><'; document.write(''); document.write(addy_text85758); document.write('<\/a>'); //-->\n ;/a>.
This Congress continues to be the premier meeting for those engaged in pediatric transplantation. Be sure to mark your calendars and plan to attend the next Congress of the IPTA, March 2007 in Cancun, Mexico.
