The IHCTAS is pleased to announce the start of its webinar series, designed to introduce transplant professionals to the growing field of vascularized composite allotransplantation. The series is available to all IHCTAS and TTS members and we encourage you to log on to the live webinar so you can interact and pose questions to the presenters. You can also watch the webinars after the broadcast by using your member login information www.tts.org and visiting the Past Webinars page.
Members should mark their calendar for April 15-17, 2015 to attend our 12th Congress of the IHCTAS, hosted by the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA. In addition to a stimulating program highlighting outcomes and the best of clinical and basic research in VCA, there will be a human cadaver symposium held immediately after the Congress at the U Penn Human Tissue Laboratory; which will allow a limited number of registrants to participate in cadaveric surgical rehearsal with an international group of VCA transplant surgeons who are experts in the field. The following is the preliminary program for the Congress.
The IHCTAS would like to highlight sessions related to VCA that took place during the World Transplant Congress in July in San Francisco. IHCTAS members who are also members of TTS can access these recordings for free as a benefit of your membership.
Below is a brief list of some sessions that covered topics related to VCA, the list is not considered a comprehensive list of all the sessions. To find additional sessions you can utilize the search feature in the educational library on www.tts.org.
We would like to encourage members to attend another meeting devoted to the field of vascularized composite allotransplantation. The 4th Biennial Meeting of the American Society of Reconstructive Transplantation (ASRT) to be held at the Drake Hotel in Chicago on November 20-22, 2014.
