Professor Stephen Lynch (AC) was appointed as a Companion of the Order of Australia for his contribution to advancements in liver transplant surgery.

A transplant surgeon, a breast and endocrine surgeon and a trauma care surgeon – all University of Queensland School of Medicine Academic Title Holders (ATHs) – have been recognised on the Queen’s Birthday Honours List.
