Simultaneous liver-kidney transplantation (SLKT) is increasingly used for patients with concurrent end-stage liver and renal disease. Emerging evidence suggests that simultaneous liver transplant can provide a tolerogenic benefit to multiorgan transplant recipients. Posttransplant donor-specific antibody (DSA) may be associated with worse outcomes; however, the role for testing DSA in SLKT is unclear.
In the current issue of Transplantation, the first ever publication on uterus transplantation (UTx) in males is published. The report marks a start for a very important area of research within the fields of transplantation and infertility.

Mast cells are potential contributors to chronic changes in kidney transplants (KTx). Here, the role of mast cells (MCs) in KTx is investigated in patients with minimal inflammatory lesions.
Kidney transplant (KT) recipients who are not actively engaged in their care and lack self-management skills have poor transplant outcomes, which are disproportionately observed among Black KT recipients. This pilot study aimed to determine whether the MyKidneyCoach app, an mHealth intervention that provides self-management monitoring and coaching, improved patient activation, engagement, and nutritional behaviors in a diverse KT population.
