Please be advised that only IPTA members in good standing can nominate or apply for an IPTA Award.

IPTA Distinguished Allied Health & Nursing Professional Award

The purpose of this award is to recognize an Allied Health or Nursing Professional member who has rendered years of faithful service to the Society and/or who has made a significant contribution to pediatric transplantation.

One award will be given at the time of the Biennial Congress.

Criteria:

  • Candidate must be an Allied Health or Nursing Professional (e.g. nurse, coordinator, psychologist, social worker, pharmacist, transplant administrator) who has contributed significantly to the field of pediatric transplantation and/or to IPTA throughout their career.
  • Must be a current member of IPTA at the time the nomination is submitted.
  • No individual can receive the award within five years of receiving a previous IPTA award. (Excludes Travel Awards).
IPTA Lifetime Achievement Award

One award will be given at the time of the Biennial Congress.

Criteria:

  • Recognizes an IPTA member who has made outstanding contributions to the field of pediatric transplantation over the course of their career.
  • Candidate is considered an international leader in the field of pediatric transplantation.
  • Must be a current member of IPTA and should have been a member for a minimum of 3 years (does not have to be consecutive).
IPTA Future Leaders Career Development Award

The purpose of this award is to recognize future investigators who show leadership promises, encourage them in their careers in pediatric transplantation and provide assistance to attend the IPTA Scientific Congress.

Up to 2 awards will be given at the time of the Biennial Congress.

Criteria:

  • Candidate is pursuing basic, translational or clinical investigation in the field of pediatric transplantation and has already made contributions to the field.
  • Candidate does not yet hold a faculty appointment or is within five (5) years of first faculty appointment and has shown commitment to a career in the field of pediatric transplantation.
  • Must be a current member of IPTA at the time the nomination is submitted (or he/she must submit a completed membership application by the awards nomination submission deadline).
  • Must have submitted (or intends to submit) one or more abstracts to the next IPTA Scientific Congress.
  • No individual can receive the award within five years of receiving a previous IPTA award. (Excludes Travel Awards).

  • The deadline for submissions is 1st August 2022.
